Hi, hello, my name is Avery.

I’m a best-selling, award-winning author of funny books for children and adults. I’ve written for several TV shows, including the Emmy-nominated Billy On The Street, and directed videos for MTV, IFC, AMC, and FOX. Among other books, I illustrated and co-wrote the national bestseller "All My Friends Are Dead," and wrote the Good Housekeeping Best Kids' Books 2022 Award winner "Chester van Chime Who Forgot How to Rhyme." I was also a recurring character on HBO's High Maintenance, if that means anything to you. I live in Northern California with a wife, a dog, and a two-year-old daughter.
